Things I will forever be upset about:
1. I don’t know what my Patronus is
2. I don’t know what Amortentia smells like to me
3. I don’t know what I’d see in the Mirror of Erised
4. I don’t know what my Boggart would be
5. I don’t know for sure what house I would be in
6. I don’t know the specifications of my wand are.
I’m pretty sure what I’d see in the Mirror of Erised, but then again, the Harry Potter universe has the tendency to be surprising.
And for #6, get a Pottermore account!
Out of context Harry Potter quotes are the best things ever.
- "Tired of walking in on Harry, Hermione and Ron all over the school, Professor McGonagall had given them permission to use the empty Transfiguration classroom at lunchtimes.”
- "Stars winking in front of his eyes, he grabbed the top of the hat to pull it off and felt something long and hard beneath it.
Some people just find the dirty in everything…

Lord Loldemort is depressed and angry because he isn’t like Happy Potter or Albust Out Laughing Dumbledore. He is joined by a band of equally depressed Laugh Eaters, like Belowtricks LeStrange, and Losinit Malfoy.
Happy must go through many jokes and playful riddles, facing Severe Huss Snape, finding Loldemort’s mysterious Whorecruxes… Which are the only thing that can make him laugh.
Happy is joined by his ragtag team of ex-clowns, Siriusly Black, Remus Laughing, Tinks, The Wheezings, Mad-Eye Not-Moody, Kingsley Cacklebolt, and many others. Together they can save the Wizarding world from sure peril.
Today my history professor, a rumpled, pot-bellied guy in his mid thirties, walked into class looking all excited, which made the rest of us nervous, because he’s known for pop quizzes. He took a deep breath and said, “I have been waiting for this moment my entire teaching career. So please, pull out your textbooks and…” in a British accent, glowering at us all ferociously, “TURN TO PAGE THREE HUNDRED AND NINETY FOUR.”
We. All. DIED.
I AM COMPLETELY SERIOUS.
The first character you fell in love with
The character you never expected to love
The character you’d slap
Three favourite characters
The character you love that everyone else hates
The character you don’t like that everyone else does
Did anyone EVER notice that there is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in the glass cabinet? X’DDDDDDDDDDDDD
PRECIOUS EARTH ANTIQUE! How could the BBC resist?
Cute because Zoë Wanamaker who plays Lady Cassandra was Madam Hooch in the film adaptation of the book pictured above.
“Harry Potter is symmetrical.”
Not just symmetrical - this is ring composition, favoured by Homer and other good writers. The 4th book is at the centre of the ring.
JK Rowling knows her beans.
Reblogging because I like that phrase a lot.
